Terrorist
    (August 17, 1988-November 13, 2015)
    Born in Al Jahra, Kuwait
    Mohammed Emwazi
Birth name is Muhammad Jassim Abdulkarim Olayan al-Dhafiri
Reportedly joined the Al-Nusra Front, and later the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL) in 2013
Identified as the masked British man seen in a series of ISIS videos (Feb. 26, 2015)
Released a YouTube video depicting him beheading American journalist hostage, James Foley, also delivering a prepared statement threatening to continue to behead hostages if American assaults on ISIS continue (Aug. 19, 2014)
Released a second video documenting the beheading of British journalist hostage, Stephen Sotloff, along with a similar prepared statement (Sept. 2, 2014)
Released three more videos depicting beheadings of hostages David Haines, Alan Henning, and Peter Kassig (Sept. - Nov. 2014)
Beheaded two more hostages, Haruna Yakawa, and Kenji Goto (Jan. 24th-31, 2015)
Aliases include Abu Abdullah al-Britani, Abu Muharib al-Yemeni, Mohammed al-Ayan, Muhammad ibn Muazzam, and Mohammed Al-Zuhary
Reportedly 'wounded in US airstrike that killed 10 top ISIS commanders at secret bunker meeting in Iraq' (Nov. 2014)
He was spoiled rotten as a child.
He is the unofficial spokesman for ISIS.
His now-deleted Twitter account was actually called Jihadi John.
A Kurdish freedom fighter described him as follows: 'the British guy who slaughters people.'
Meanwhile, surviving hostages described him as a 'cold, sadistic, merciless,' 'ruthless executioner.'
He sets a poor example for young Westerners intent on joining the Middle East conflict to fight for ISIS.
He blamed counterterrorism intelligence for the cancellation of his Kuwait wedding.
He spent years squaring off with Intelligence officials to leave England for Kuwait.
He was detained by security officials on a 'safari trip' in Tanzania, reportedly for attempting to join a known terrorist group in Somalia.
If there was any doubt about his intentions, hostages testified that he nursed an obsession with Somalia and the terrorist group, Al-Shabaab, regularly forcing them to watch videos about it.
He conditionally brainwashed his victims and then forced them to humiliate themselves on camera by making them read scripted denunciations of their country and loved ones.
The mask is more for dramatic affect than anything else, because subsequent videos show him as the only one with a covered face.
The revelation of his secret identity predictably brought out any and all former friends & neighbors out looking for their 15 minutes to talk about how 'nice,' 'quiet' and 'ordinary' he was when they knew him.
He is shown beheading a Syrian rebel in a along with several other militants in a video described as far more grotesque and violent than their better known counterparts, even featuring the decapitated head of victim Peter Kassing (Nov. 2014).
He is a fan of The Simpsons.
Some have argued that his early beheading videos were staged.
He claimed to have been approached to be trained for counterterrorism operations by British Intelligence.
He also was allegedly harassed and beaten by counterintelligence officers during his various interrogations.
He gave up a very promising career as an IT salesman (his boss called him 'the best worker the company ever had').
He got his nickname from hostages in a prison cell he and three other British ISIS members were guarding, in reference to the Beatles (specifically John Lennon).
The US Senate approved a $10 million reward for any information leading to his capture (Sept. 2014).
The increased publicity that came from his identity reveal is strongly believed to have sent him into hiding.
He and Dzhokhar Tsarnaev are proof positive of the zaniness of some ditzy teeny boppers (both have developed followings as teen heartthrobs in some quarters).
He released a statement to his family apologizing to them for any 'problems and trouble the revelation of his identity has caused them' (Mar. 8, 2015).
