Why he might be annoying:

While with the AAA Durham Buls, he was suspended indefinitely by the International League for throwing a bat at an umpire during a game against Pawtucket (April 27, 2006).
He released a cliched apology statement following the incident.
He was nearly ejected from a game for throwing his bat at a pitcher who had just hit him with a pitch (2006).
He was suspended for three games for bumping into home plate umpire Jeff Latter (2005).
While in AA, he refused to do interviews on camera unless he got paid.
He looks like Tony Gwynn.
Until the bat-throwing controversy made headlines, he lived in the shadow of his brother, Dmitri.

Why he might not be annoying:

He was the first overall MLB draft pick (2003).
He was the 2005 AA Southern League MVP, hitting .336 with 20 home runs and 25 stolen bases in 330 at-bats.
He is considered a 'five-tool player.'
He is MLB.com's and Baseball America's top-ranked prospect.
After hitting the umpire with his bat, he said that he wanted to personally apologize to him.
His brother is an MLB All-Star.
