Baseball Player
    (August 8, 1989- )
    Born in Parkland, Florida
    Bats left, throws left
First baseman for the San Diego Padres (2011) and the Chicago Cubs
Drafted in the sixth round of the 2007 MLB draft by the Boston Red Sox
Three-time All Star Game participant (2014-16)
He shares his name with Gonzo's Muppet sidekick.
He had a promising career with the Red Sox organization, but was traded to the Padres before getting a chance to play in the Majors (some speculated it was a matter of his being drafted too early).
He wore his Cubs uniform on an overnight flight to Washington for a makeup game against the Nationals as a joke.
He disagreed with several Patriots players' decision to boycott the White House visit to make a statement about Donald Trump, saying 'I think anyone who gets to go to the White House is lucky' (admittedly this was in response to a TMZ reporter badgering him while in line at an airport).
He was treated for cancer at the age of 19.
He started The Anthony Rizzo Family Foundation, in 2012, to promote research and support families fighting cancer.
He was an integral part of the final three victories in the CLS over the Los Angeles Dodgers, which led to the Cubs' first World Series appearance since 1945.
He scored 7 runs and had 5 RBIs during the 2016 World Series, helping the Cubs to win their first World Series title since 1908.
He did two hilarious SNL sketches shortly after the Cubs' Series win with David Ross, Dexter Fowler, and Bill Murray (the first of which involved his doing a strip-tease for an old lady).
He is best friends with fellow Chicago Cub Kris Bryant, and was even a groomsman at his wedding.
He was a student at Marjorie Stoneman Douglas High School, and delivered an emotional speech at the vigil held for victims of the 2018 school shooting.
