    (circa 986-July 28, 1032)
    Born in France
Consort of King Robert II of France (1003-1031)
She had lousy relationships with her husband and sons.
She had her husband's friend Hugh of Beauvais murdered in front of her husband.
Her husband tried to divorce her.
She hit a priest with her staff.
She threatened to torture servants if she thought they were stealing.
She supported her son Hugh when he was crowned co-king, only to turn against him when he demanded equal power.
She encouraged her surviving sons to turn against their father.
Her sons then turned against her after their father's death.
Her son Henri became king and then attacked her castle. He threatened to kill everyone inside if she did not surrender. (Needless to say, she surrendered.)
Her husband only married her because his marriage to his previous wife was illegal (they were close cousins).
Her husband was still in love with his previous wife.
Her granddaughter Matilda of Flanders married William the Conqueror, thus making her an ancestor of the British royal family.
Her son Hugh died at the age of eighteen.
