The Resume

    Sacrament of the Catholic Church
During church services, Catholics, the Orthodox, and some Protestants believe that bread and wine is transformed into the 'Body, Blood, Soul and Divinity' of Jesus Christ
Believed to have been instituted by Christ during the Last Supper; 'This is my Body, this is my Blood etc (Matthew 26:26, Mark 14:22 et al)

Why Eucharist might be annoying:

It is probably the most controversial of the sacraments; how can Jesus be in Heaven and here on Earth at every Mass, why would he want his followers to eat his flesh and drink his blood, did he mean his words literally or figuratively? etc.
Only the Catholic, Orthodox, Lutheran, and Anglican/Episcopal Churches believe the bread and wine become Jesus Christ. The Presbyterians believe Jesus is present spiritually and most of the rest of Protestantism believes it is only a symbol.
Their rejection of the 'Real Presence' of Jesus has led the Jehovah Witnesses and some others to change their Bible to read 'This means (or symbolizes) My Body' versus the correct translation of 'This is My Body.'

Why Eucharist might not be annoying:

The Bible does in fact say 'This is My Body...do this in memory of Me.' So it would seem participating in the Eucharist is something a Christian should do.
If the Eucharist is real, than that is a really big deal. If it's not, then Flannery O'Connor said it best, 'If it's just a symbol than to hell with it!'
It is very clear that the early Christians believed that it was really the Body and Blood of Jesus Christ.
