When David Letterman's head writer Steven O'Donnell, was looking out of his office window he wonder about the people who work in the offices in the next building.
Letterman on the air called an office in the building and she answered the phone.
He asked her to go to the window and wave, she did, and her personality was so charismatic, he made her a regular personality on his show.
When she was a teeneger, her mom died of cancer (1978).
Although born and raised in New York City, she has a great innocence.
She graduated Clark University.
