Most of its attempts at original programming, such as 'ALF's Hit Talk Show' and 'I Pity the Fool' with Mr. T, have been short-lived.
It turned over three hours of its morning airtime to infomercials (2008).
It caused an unexpected controversy by erecting a statue of Bewitched star Elizabeth Montgomery in Salem, Massachusetts.
Why TV Land might not be annoying
It gave up the Gen X programming and returned to classic TV (2008).
It became one of the ten highest-rated cable networks (1999).
Its TV Land Awards spoof other show biz award ceremonies.
Its other TV Icon statues - such as Mary Tyler Moore in Minneapolis, Andy Griffith and Ron Howard in Raleigh, North Carolina and Happy Days' Henry Winkler in Milwaukee have avoided Bewitched-level scandals.
