He resigned from the U.S. Senate while being investigated by a Senate ethics committee (April 21, 2011).
Why he might not be annoying
He trained as a veterinarian.
He owned two 24-hour animal hospitals in the Las Vegas area.
He immediately resigned from his high-ranking GOP post.
He came forward about the adultery after an alleged blackmail plot threatened to out him to the media (June 16, 2009).
