Why they might be annoying:

They have been accused of ripping off GWAR and Kiss.
Most of their videos featuring them just standing there performing to one person.
Their lyrics are self-serving and boastful.
They seem to replace bass players every album.
They reportedly fired their keyboard player (Ernary) due to her alcoholism.
They are sellouts, as they feature their own brand of soft drink and action figures.
Mr. Lordi has metal in his right leg from falling during a concert.

Why they might not be annoying:

They won a song contest mostly dominated by sappy pop acts.
They do not try to break the monster spirit of the band, and do not appear without their costumes in any band-related activities.
The media tries to get pictures of them without their costumes on.
They have been falsely accused of being Satanists.
The entire band does backing vocals for their songs.
