    He was born into a show biz family, with his father Gene working as an assistant director, while his uncles were directors James Flood and William Beaudine.
    He made his debut as an infant in one of his relative's films.
    His acting career ended when he became an adult.
    In the scene where druggist Mr. Gower (portrayed by H. B. Warner) slaps George Bailey, Warner 'actually bloodied my ear.'
    He served as a Naval photographer during the Korean War.
    He had a successful behind-the-scenes career in show biz, working as an assistant director and production manager for films and TV shows.
