The Resume

    (October 20, 1959- )
Born in Dalkey County, Dublin, Ireland
Appeared in ‘Paris By Night,’ ‘Fools of Fortune,’ ‘Hereafter,’ and ‘Chicklit’
Appeared on ‘The World of Peter Rabbit and Friends’ (as Beatrix Potter), ‘Heartbeat (1992),’ and ‘Always and Everyone’ (including numerous guest roles)
Daughter of Cyril Cusack and Maureen Kiely Cusack
Member of the Royal Shakespeare Company (Barbican Centre, London)

Why she might be annoying:

NEEV (rhymes with ‘leave,’ or can also rhyme with ‘shiv’).
Despite appearing with her father and sisters (Sorcha and Sinead) in a performance of Chekhov’s Three Sisters (1990), her own path to acting was temporarily challenged by a music scholarship.
Hell, even her own mother had serious reservations about having her children getting the acting bug (which two of them avoided)!
Though they are no relation, she drew facial comparisons to American actress Joan Cusack.

Why she might not be annoying:

Starring in its first five seasons – and pregnant at that point – she was written out of Heartbeat by having her character Dr. Kate Rowan die of leukemia.
She is an association football enthusiast, both as a supporter and an amateur defender.
An incredible 33 years later, she would reprise her role of Othello’s Desdemona for another run with the RSC.
While her two brothers didn’t become actors (instead becoming producers), her son continued the dynasty — on both sides of the pond!
Despite living much of her professional life in London, she has never lost the overall burr of her homeland.
