    His bronze medal victory made him the first U.S. Olympic male skeleton racer in 12 years after Jim Shea, Jr. to win an Olympic medal.
    His skeleton career started after watching the men's skeleton event in the 2002 Winter Olympics.
    He holds a degree in sports management, fitness and wellness.
    In his spare time, he enjoys camping, biking and cooking.
