    Born in Brooklyn, New York
    Author of ‘Angela’s Ashes’
He quit school at the age of 13.
    He didn’t use quotations marks.
He simply told stories when he was teaching, because he admitted he was not good at lecturing.
He was discharged from the army.
He won a Pulitzer Prize for ‘Angela’s Ashes.’
His father was an alcoholic who abandoned his family.
‘Angela’s Ashes’ detailed his life as part of a poor Irish Catholic family after they returned to Ireland from the United States.
As a child he shared one outhouse with the entire block.
He said 'I know the best deadly sin. And what do you think that is? Sloth, because that means laziness. And if you're not doing anything, you won't commit any of the other deadly sins.'
At ten he almost died from typhoid fever.
