Why he might be annoying:

    He only played one year in professional football.
    When he refused to bench quarterback Johnny Unitas, Colts manager Joe Thomas fired him.
    He suffered a heart attack while cutting grass.

Why he might not be annoying:

    Many of the players he coached considered him very 'easy going.'
    He helped the Colts win Super Bowl V.
    He was less egomaniacal than his predecessor Don Shula.
