Entrepreneur
    (1972- )
Born in New York City, New York
    Resides in Dallas, Texas
Owner of Dundon Capital Partners and Trinity Forest Golf Club
Minority owner of TopGolf and Employer Direct healthcare services
Majority owner of the Carolina Hurricanes
He bought an ice hockey team, despite his limited knowledge of the sport and coming from a strong background in golf circles.
Some Hurricane fans were leary of his purchase of the team, fearing he would move it to his home state of Texas (most notably Houston).
He admitted he took advice on owning a sports team from Mark Cuban.
He came under fire from hockey pundits for allowing his team to do choreographed post game victory celebrations.
He attended his first NHL Board of Governors meeting in a hoodie and sweatpants, rather then the conventional suit and tie.
He came under fire by hockey pundits for his decision to demote and eventually fire franchise great Ron Francis and allow the team's coach Bill Peters to exercise an opt out clause in his contract.
His ownership of the Hurricanes was a drastic change from the penny pinching manner of Peter Karmanos.
Unlike Karmanos, he allowed the team's marketing department to get creative to find ways to draw fans to the games.
He recognized the team's predecessor, the Hartford Whalers as part of the Hurricanes history, and allowed Whaler merchandise to be sold at the team store.
As a way to show he was committed to the North Carolina market, he allowed the fans in the upper level to move to the lower levels at no cost and the use of his personal owner's box.
He isn't afraid to think outside the box when it comes to finding strategies to get fans to come to the games.
He is a self made billionaire.
