Why he might be annoying
Arrrrrgh! Another lawyer!
He is one of two Russells in Season 19.
In the basket tossing challenge, he was the victim of a cheap shot that disqualified his offender (Ben).
When he chose comfort (bedding) over function (tarpaulins) at the colored crate challenge, he enraged the other men of the Galu while elating all the women, except Shambo. (And that wasn’t all he did to upset her!)
The Episode 6 challenge had to be stopped when he fell chin first onto the maze table, leaving no victory for either side. (He was pulled out of the game due to two blackouts and rapidly decreasing blood pressure, forcing the Galu to choose a new leader.)
His decision to send Shambo to the Foa Foa camp was punitive by motivation for her losing one of the tribe's reward chickens even though Shambo performed in the preceding Reward Challenge helping Galu win steaks.
Why he might not be annoying
He specializes in environmental law.
As Galu members were voting for a tribe leader, Erik referred to him as a 'Better Looking Lennox Lewis.'
Despite not being voted out the old-fashioned 'Survivor' method, he had his Final Words.
He vowed to surrender his dreadlocks upon becoming the Sole 'Survivor.'
Though he eventually conceded to go with the majority at the vote, he considered Yasmin's athleticism in challenges, relative to Monica’s, of greater importance than her bad work ethic.
His involuntary exit from the game led to Shambo becoming the new Galu leader!
