The Resume

    (January 22, 1962- )
Born in New York City, New York
Wrote, produced, and acted in 'My Life's in Turnaround' and 'Too Something' with Donal Lardner Ward
Directed 'If Lucy Fell,' 'Fall,' 'Wirey Spindell,' 'Never Again,' 'Mind the Gap'
Created the TV series 'Starved' based on his struggles with eating disorders
Created the TV series 'I Can't Believe I'm Still Single' based on his blog and his difficulty in finding a long-term girlfriend
Wrote the book 'I Can't Believe I'm Still Single,' also based on his blog of the same name
Lives in New York City and Vermont

Why he might be annoying:

His character on 'Starved' was based on himself; despite being a main character, he was extremely rude and difficult to identify with.
He lies about his age to get into under-40 dating events.
Nothing he has directed has ever made a dime of profit.
In his movies, he likes to cast himself opposite women out of his league, such as Elle Macpherson.
By all accounts and indications, he is extremely arrogant and narcissistic.
He didn't return a message sent through his blog asking questions for this profile.
He is obsessed with getting the #1 profile on Nerve.com.
He cruises yoga classes, randomly hitting on women.
He won't date women over the age of 36, he won't date women he doesn't agree with ideologically, and he literally demands that they compliment him.
He defends his use of prostitutes saying that he has 'only' visited 10 prostitutes in 30 years.
Without fail, every last woman who has dated him and talked about it has framed the date as a horror story.

Why he might not be annoying:

He makes heavy use of Jill Sobule in his films, both as a musician and actress.
He and Donal Lardner Ward made their first movie and TV series together, and they are still best friends.
Before getting 'famous,' he was a taxi driver for nine years, during which time he wrote extremely prolifically.
He still finds money to finance his projects somehow.
He is still able to get some big names in his movies.
He answers any question asked about his personal life.
