Basketball Player
    (October 27, 1987- )
    Born in Plainsboro, New Jersey
Center for the Los Angeles Lakers (2005-)
Drafted from high school as the tenth pick in the 2005 NBA Draft
He was one of several basketball players who entered the NBA draft straight out of high school without enrolling into college.
As a result, he missed out on being accepted to the University of Connecticut.
    He is extremely injury prone.
He easily gets into foul trouble.
At times, teammate Kobe Bryant and coach Phil Jackson criticized him for being too soft.
As with many athletes of the major professional sports leagues, he enjoys golfing.
In high school, he was part of the 2005 McDonald's All American Team, where he scored 9 points and made 5 rebounds.
The Lakers hired former player and NBA Hall of Famer Kareem Abdul-Jabbar to help Bynum.
As of 2009, he is the youngest player to participate in an NBA game at 18 years, and 6 days (November 2, 2005).
With the addition of Power forward and center Pau Gasol in 2008, analysts compared the two as 'twin towers' much like Tim Duncan and David Robinson of the San Antonio Spurs.
Unlike many NBA players during their pro-careers, he concurrently attended college at Loyola Marymount University during the off-season.
