    He is a workaholic who, according to his wife, has trouble relaxing even on vacation.
    He was arrested for trespassing at the Neville Chemical plant in Pittsburgh (2003).
    Bill Clinton wrote, 'I wanted to slug him' over his questions about the Gennifer Flowers affair, particularly whether he and Hilary had 'an arrangement.'
    Kroft's response: 'He'll have to get at the end of a long line.'

    He was a reporter for Armed Forces Network in Vietnam, earning a bronze star for meritorious achievement.
    He won nine Emmys and three Peabody Awards.
    While reporting on the civil war in El Salvador, he and a soldier he was interviewing were fired on by snipers (1981).
    He was granted the first post-election interview with Barack Obama.
