Inventor

The Resume

    (November 18, 1787-July 10, 1851)
    Born in Cormeilles, France
    Inventor of Daguerreotype photography
    Inventor of the Diorama theater

Why he might be annoying:

Daguerreotypes required you to sit absolutely still for nearly ten minutes.
Nobody who was pictured on a daguerreotype could smile.
They also could not capture moving images, so photographs of the streets of Paris look barren and empty of people.
Originally, his invention was supposed to be 'free to the world as a gift from France' but the British still had to pay license fees
Photography would later ruin the idea of painting realistic portraits and lead to bizarre abstract work.

Why he might not be annoying:

His first Diorama was destroyed by a fire.
An asteroid is named after him.
His invention provided for the first time realistic pictures of famous people (rather than artist rendered interpretations that could flatter them).
He is considered the inventor of photography.
