Ran for president in 2004 (but dropped out after a poor showing in the Iowa caucuses)

Why he might be annoying:

He supports affirmative action.
Much of his campaign money comes from unions, so he always votes in their favor.
He looks similar to Dan Quayle.
Al Gore accused him of having 'wholesale changes in dozens and dozens of key positions,' such as taxes and abortion.
He wants to raise taxes and cut military spending.
He opposes oil drilling in Alaska.
He claims to support free enterprise, but voted against tax relief for small businesses.

Why he might not be annoying:

He opposes trade relations with totalitarian governments.
He supports equal rights for both men and women.
He supports the death penalty, but preferably after a DNA test has been conducted.
In 2001, he voted for military border patrols to catch terrorists and drug smugglers.
He retired honorably from the race instead of bashing other candidates on the way out (although his speech was tearful).
He was from a low-income background but won scholarships to go to college and became a powerful politician.
The New York Post erronously ran a headline that he was the Democratic Vice Presidential pick, however John Edwards got that honor(July 6, 2004).
