    Known as ‘the daughter of the Passion’ and ‘the virgin of Lucca’
    Canonized (1940)
    Patron saint of students, pharmacists, paratroopers and parachutists
    Invoked against back injury, migraines, and temptation to impurity

Why she might be annoying:

    She wanted to join a Passionist convent, but was prevented by poor health.
    She claimed to have levitated while in religious ecstasy.
    A physician who had known her since childhood said that her stigmatic wounds were self-inflicted.

Why she might not be annoying:

    At age 16, she suffered spinal meningitis, but underwent a recovery that was considered miraculous.
    She was orphaned at 18 and had to care for her younger siblings.
    Her younger sister Angelina mocked her piety.
