He would pass out during concerts thanks to his excessive alcohol abuse.
He was kicked out of Faith No More for that very reason.
After he was kicked out, Faith No More enlisted Mike Patton who would lead the band to a #1 song with 'Epic' and a cult following.
He resents Mike Patton for having achieved success with the band he helped build up.

Why he might not be annoying:

He managed to land the vocalist job for Faith No More while Courtney Love couldn't (says a lot about her).
