Entrepreneur
    (1934-November 27, 2008)
Born in New York City, New York
Founded Telephone Marketing Programs (1967), the largest Yellow Pages advertising agency
Chairman and CEO of Monster.com (1995-2006)
He had never heard of the internet before buying Monster.com from its founder.
He was so secretive he did not bother to tell Monster.com founder Jeffrey Taylor when he purchased Monster's largest rival, the Online Career Center.
    He was married six times.
He resigned from Monster over questions about what the Wall Street Journal called 'a series of improbably well-timed stock option grants to senior executives.'
Within five years, Monster had passed eBay as the most profitable internet business.
He donated $25 million to establish a lung transplant center at Emory University.
He organized the Families of Freedom fund, which raised $100 million for scholarships for the children of 9/11 victims.
