The Resume

    (November 26, 1988- )
    Born in Reykjavik, Iceland
    Professional strongman
    30 wins in international competitions
Portrayed Gregor 'The Mountain' Clegane in Game of Thrones

Why he might be annoying:

He blew the 2016 European Strongest Man competition in the car pull, when he grabbed the apparatus by the center instead of the sides, throwing off his balance.
During a brief boxing career, he faced three fellow strongmen and a professional arm wrestler, but no actual boxers (2021-22).
Several ex-girlfriends accused him of domestic violence.
Asked if he ever used steroids, he admitted, 'Yes, I have. When you want to be the best, you do whatever it takes.'

Why he might not be annoying:

At the World's Strongest Viking competition (2015), he carried a ten-meter (33-foot) long log weighing 650 kilograms (1430 pounds) for five steps, breaking a thousand-year old record of three steps by the legendary Orm Storolfsson. (For comparison, when four other professional strongmen attempted the feat for The History Channel program 'The Strongest Man in History,' three could not budge it and the fourth lifted if momentarily for half a second but was unable to take any steps.)
He was the first (and, as of the time of this profile, only) person to win the Arnold Strongman Classic, Europe's Strongest Man, and the World's Strongest Man competitions in a calendar year (2018).
He never failed a drug test during his competitive career.
His wife Kelsey had a stillborn daughter after 5-1/2 months of pregnancy (2023).
