Why he might be annoying:

He disagreed with the creation of the office of the Vice Presidency stating it was an unnecessary position.
He ended up serving as Vice President under two different presidents.
During a losing re-election bid in New York, he declared votes from three counties were invalid to stay in office for another term.
He hated Tories and used seizure of their property to keep taxes low.
He was the first Vice President to die while in office.
He held enormous sway in New York and helped create the Democratic political machine.

Why he might not be annoying:

He was both the first and third governor of New York.
He served in the military during the Revolutionary War and was good friends with George Washington.
He was called to battle the day the Declaration of Independence was signed and as such was unable to sign it himself.
He refused to support the U.S. Constitution until there was a Bill of Rights added.
There is a county named after him in New York.
