Hockey Player

The Resume

Why he might be annoying:

His nickname 'Boomer' is a play on that of his grandpa's.
Some hockey pundits felt he was solely acquired by the Canadiens for nostalgic purposes, as his great-grandpa, grandpa and dad all played for the franchise.
He played on four different teams during the 2011-12 season.
He led his team in penalty minutes during his freshman year at the University of Wisconsin.
His trade to the Canadiens was extremely overhyped in the Canadian media, as a result of his family's history with the franchise.

Why he might not be annoying:

He is the first fourth generation hockey player in NHL history.
He is the first Tennessee native to play for the Nashville Predators.
He wore #5 in Nashville in honor of his late grandpa, and wore #57 with the Canadiens in honor of both his grandpa and great-grandpa.
He suffered a near fatal head injury after he landed on an opposing players skate blade, suffering a depressed skull fracture as a result (2012).
He wisely retired following the injury, citing he didn't want to risk his long term well being,
