Why he might be annoying:

    He was twice divorced.
    He expanded into the cable television business by buying out small cable companies.
    He purchased Atari Inc. in 1976 and reaped financial success from its Atari 2600 consoles, only for the company to close in the Video Game Crash of 1983.
    The collapse left Warner Communications vulnerable to a hostile takeover, and leading Rupert Murdoch to try and buy Warner.

Why he might not be annoying:

    He pioneered cable television, making possible channels like MTV and Nickelodeon.
    He purchased the New York Cosmos from its original investors for a single dollar.
    Clint Eastwood dedicated his Best Picture Oscar for 'Unforgiven' to his memory.
    He was a professional role model for Steven Spielberg, who saw him as a father figure and dedicated 'Schindler's List' to him.
    He brought Pele to the United States.
