Why she might be annoying:

    She is openly bisexual.
She claimed to have written her first jingle at three years old.
She was part of a wedding-circuit band that would be named… Annie.
Thanks to the record label’s demise, her first album, from 1981, is largely forgotten.
She is featured on least seven different Streisand albums.

Why she might not be annoying:

As the daughter of a circuit vocalist that loved classical music and a scat-singing journalist (since divorced) she came by her talent honestly.
Despite her early failures, counting at least ten record deals, she scored plenty of piano bar gigs without much need to wait tables.
With the blessing of his estate, she composed the music for ‘I Gaze in Your Eyes,’ an incomplete single whose words were written by Cole Porter.
In the wake of the 9/11 attack on New York, she composed ‘I Believe in America’ (performed on Larry King Live) — among other original works.
You may also have heard her voice in numerous jingles and voice-overs.
