    Wrote 'Passages,' 'Pathfinders,' 'Sex and the Seasoned Woman' and 'Hillary's Choice'
    She followed the success of 'Passages' with similar titles, such as 'Understanding Men's Passages,' 'The Silent Passage: Menopause' and 'Passages in Caregiving.'
    Psychologist Roger Gould sued her for plagiarizing his work in 'Passages'; the suit was settled with Gould receiving 10% of the royalties.
    In a Vanity Fair profile, she quoted Hillary Clinton complaining about the press not investigating rumors of adultery by George H.W. Bush, even though Hillary had clearly declared the comments off the record (1992).
    'Passages' was named one of the 10 most influential books in a survey of readers by the Library of Congress.
    She won a Washington Journalism Review Award for best magazine writer.
    She said of the Clinton flap, 'I don't think you tell a journalist about a private conversation if you don't want to have it printed.'
