TV Series
    (May 9, 2011- )
Airs on E4 network (United Kingdom) and Style Network (United States)
    Ensemble cast
Reality series following a collection of Young Urban Professionals (aka Yuppies) in the South West London area of the UK
Only a few cast members appeared in every single season over its first five years (that’s 11 series and three offshoots).
You read correctly: not all seasons were numbered or credited as official.
Binky? (That’s Alexandra Felstead’s default nickname.)
Creator Hugo Taylor, who appeared in the first three seasons, signed up a number of socialites who then dropped out over worries of destroying their social standing just by being cast.
Stephanie Pratt (yes, Spencer's baby sister) became a cast member in its sixth series, before heading stateside for two spinoffs.
It spawned an app and a fitness DVD… for starters!
Despite the sex and partying, it drew few comparisons to the Geordie Shore (British counterpart to the Jersey Shore).
Rather, it was credited as a counterbalance to The Only Way Is Essex, which drew comparisons to The Hills (on which Pratt also appeared).
Whole seasons could take place around the globe, not just in the States.
Jamie Laing, who had been in every series except the first, created two loosely-connected YouTube channels during its run.
At least Taylor was aiming for genuine socialites!
Despite their status, the cast is less idle-rich than they appear.
