    That giant, giant snout!
One of her first roles – in Fox’s ‘Scariest Places on earth’ – was as a character named ‘Awassa Tact’ (a play on ‘I was attacked’).
She knits — sometimes between scenes.
She loves marmite (a highly salty spread made of beer-based yeast extract) and Tabasco sauce.
Ironically, her role on Merlin wasn’t what made her a household name — it was her minor role on Dancing, in which she showed off her vocal chops.
‘Escapism is vital, I feel, and the idea of being transported to a world which doesn’t actually exist really excites me. Why should we feel restricted by reality?’
Despite her skin tone, Merlin casting personnel indicated she perfectly captured the essence of the clumsy uber-feminine – yet regal and spirited – Guinevere (didn’t need a stunt double, either).
If there’s a festival in town and time permits, she’s probably already there.
She believes a female character can be a heroine without being feisty.
Her favorite CD? Michael Jackson’s ‘Off the Wall’ (‘because it never gets old’).
