Why he might be annoying:

He is clearly in cahoots with the Iranian government.
He called Mahmoud Ahmadinejad’s Holocaust-denying speech ‘courageous’.
He is unwilling to recognize Israel as a state.
Despite the prisoner swap deal with Israel over Gilad Shalit and 40 Hamas members, he vowed to capture more Israeli troops.

Why he might not be annoying:

Mossad attempted to assassinate him with poison before King Hussein of Jordan and Bill Clinton intervened (September 25, 1997).
He praised Barack Obama’s ‘new language’ (June 26, 2009).
He was exempted from Israel’s travel restrictions, so he could travel abroad much easier than other Hamas leaders.
