Why she might be annoying
She is suspected of killing her six year old daughter.
She claimed she was asleep as her daughter was being kidnapped.
After calling 911, the arriving police noted her hair and make-up were perfect. In fact, she was dressed the same at a party she attended the evening before.
She claimed her son Burke was also asleep at the time. but his voice is heard in the background of her 911 call.
There was no evidence of a break-in or footprints in the snow outside the home.
A handwriting expert believed the ransom note might have been written by her.
She and her husband were not very helpful in the murder investigation.
Although claiming to be a devout Christian, she entered her six year old daughter in beauty pageants wearing full make-up and slutty outfits.
Her daughter wore tons of make-up and posed provocatively.
She spoke publicly about the frequency of sex she and her husband have.
She was bi-polar.
She profited from her daughter's death by writing a book.
In the 70's she protested media censorship but now supports censorship.
She offered to take a polygraph test, but kept adding more stipulations not to do it. Some demands included it can not be done in Colorado, it must be done in Atlanta, the Colorado police can not be there, it must be done by some one who is unfamiliar with the case. After each of these demands were accepted by the police, she demanded that it could not be done by someone who is linked to the FBI.
The police feeling they gave in more than enough, refused.
She got bad press for stalling and then not taking a lie detector test as she promised. Her lawyer hired a polygrapher who claimed she passed his test.
Why she might not be annoying
There are those who believe she did not kill JonBenet.
One expert felt she didn't fit the profile of a child killing parent.
She kept her son Burke out of the media circus.
She survived over a decade of ovarian cancer (1993).
She was crowned Miss West Virginia (1977).
She was a judge at the Miss West Virginia Pageant in 1993.
