    Earned a BA, MA and PhD from UCLA, all in economics
    Taught at the University of Chicago, Yale, Wharton, Stanford, Rice and Texas A & M
    Has written several books including 'More Guns,Less Crime' and 'Freedomnomics' and numerous journal articles
    Researcher at the University of Maryland
    Gun rights activist

Why he might be annoying:

    There is controversy over his research methodology.
    He has used a pseudonym and his wife and son to praise his work on the internet.
    His 'official' website is just a blog.

Why he might not be annoying:

    He has demonstrated through his research that allowing everyday law-abiding citizens to carry concealed weapons leads to a dramatic drop in violent crime.
    He has demonstrated that heavy fines and proper governmental regulation are the greatest deterrent against polluters.
    During Barack Obama's campaign for the presidency, he exposed Obama's desire to ban the manufacture, ownership, and sale of handguns.
    He is against the bailout of big businesses by the government.
    He drives the gun control crowd nuts!
    He uses proven quantitative research methods, especially statistics, to back up his claims.
