Why he might be annoying:

    He was one of ten children in his family.
    His NHL career was overshadowed by that of both his older brothers.
    He was called 'The Forgotten Conacher' by hockey pundits.
    He waa traded to Detroit, after Bruins general manager Art Ross felt he wouldn't be able to replicate the same degree of success he had, prior to enlisting in World War II.
    His tenure with the Red Wings ended on a sour note, when he refused to accept a contract from Jack Adams, which he felt was lower then he was asking.
    He was traded to the New York Rangers against his wishes.
    He refused to report to New York and threatened to retire, which prompted the deal to be nullified.

Why he might not be annoying:

    He was a member of two Stanley Cup winning teams with the Bruins (1939, 1941).
    He set an NHL record as the first rookie to lead the league in goal scoring (later surpassed by Teemu Selanne (1938-39).
    He, along with Bill Cowley and Eddie Wiseman fomed the Bruins famed 'Three Gun Line' during the 1940's.
    He scored the series-clinching goal for the Bruins in the 1939 Stanley Cup Finals.
    He served for the Royal Canadian Air Force in World War II.
    He proved he was able to compete at a high level upon his discharge from the RCAF, and remained a top point producer with the Black Hawks.
    His induction into the Hockey Hall of Fame, made him, along with Lionel and Charlie the first trio of brothers to be enshrined altogether.
