    Head coach for the University of Mississippi Women's Basketball Team (1978-1997), Houston Comets (1997-2007) and the Louisiana State University Women's Basketball Team (2007- )
    Three time WNBA Coach of the Year (1997-1999)
    Inducted into the Basketball Hall of Fame (2007)

    He coached for a team that made the WNBA uncompetitive in the early years of the league.
    His Comet playoff team's productivity declined after the 2000 season.
    He has two degrees in physical education and one degree in math.
    He established the Comets dynasty that won the first four WNBA Championships.
    He was the longest serving original WNBA head coach.
    While a WNBA coach, he was an ESPN anaylst for women's college basketball with expert knowledge of women's basketball.
