Why he might be annoying:

    During his only year of college, he was chronically late to classes because he always had trouble finding the buildings they were in.
    He left his girlfriend of thirteen years to date Winona Ryder.
    During an interview in a hotel room with ’Rolling Stone’ he pissed in a vase.
    He was prone to making statements like, ‘My aspiration is to put myself on a pedestal and to hate myself for standing on a pedestal.’
    He has maintained the greasy, stringy locks of hair look he had in his late 20s into his mid-50s.

Why he might not be annoying:

    He attended high school with Tommy Stinson of the Replacements.
    He said, ‘As a lyricist, I owe more probably to my ninth-grade English teacher than I do anyone.’
    He sang the Paul McCartney parts in ‘Backbeat,’ a movie about the Beatles’ early days playing in Hamburg.
    He is a good friend of director Kevin Smith and wrote the score for ‘Chasing Amy.’
