His brewing business failed.
He conceived the 'Boston Tea Party,' which caused England to issue laws that restricted town meetings and the closed Boston Harbor (The Intolerable Acts - 1774).
He originally opposed the US Constitution, but eventually supported it and helped to get it ratified in Massachusetts.
He was such a revolutionary that he rarely wore a powdered wig (the fashion of the day).
He liked to drink.

He graduated Harvard (1743).
He masterminded the 'Boston Tea Party' in which British Tea was dumped in the harbor (1773).
Sam Adams beer is named in his honor.
The British Tea Party was a major catalyst of the American Revolutionary War.
