    We all remember the famous Chris Rock 'Kracky Kreme' standup routine: 'Krispy Kreme donuts are so good that if I told you right now they had crack in them you'd go I KNEW something was up!'
    And actually, there's at least one instance of their donut glaze being mistaken for drugs: a 64-year-old man was arrested on after an Orlando police officer spotted four tiny flakes of Krispy Kreme on his mustache and mistook it for crystal meth - charges were later dropped after the chem-lab had it analyzed (July, 2016).
    They tried addressing health conscious 'transfat' concerns by unveiling a Whole Wheat glazed donut, but (unsurprisingly) it didn't catch on.
    They are hot, gooey, delicious, and finger-licking awesome (sorry Colonel!)
    Krispy Kreme hats have been turned into makeshift souvenirs for customers.
    Locations predominately blast popular hits from the 1950s-60s over their speakers.
    It was one of the first donut/coffee chains to have supermarkets and gas stations carry their products, which boosted their sales significantly.
    Medal of Honor recipient Salvatore Giunta worked there out of High School.
    Free Donut giveaways occur every National Donut Day (June 3) as well on the anniversary of the company's founding (July 13).
    They have helped non-profit organizations raise millions of dollars in needed funds for decades (often donating dozens of donuts to children's hospitals).
    There's a charity race held annually by NC State University requiring competitors to run 5 miles through Raleigh in less than an hour, all the while consuming 2,400 calories worth of donuts ('Krispy Kreme Challenge').
    Charles Barkley is such a Krispy junkie that that his co-workers at TNT celebrated his 53rd birthday by presenting him with 53 dozen Krispy Kreme donuts (636 in total!)
    It is referenced in a joke in 'Bruce Almighty' when a female party guest casually mentions that she 'lost 47 pounds on the Krispy Kreme diet' thanks to Bruce/God.
    It had a tie-in with Saban's 'Power Rangers' film - unveiling a special line of Rangers-themed donuts and even creating an interactive (fictional) 'Angel Grove' location featured on their website.
