Why he might be annoying
He was the ringleader of a shoplifting scandal at Dillard's.
He and teammate Peter Warrick stole over $400 worth of clothing by paying $22 for it.
When the scandal garnered national media attention, he was charged with petty theft and expelled from the school's football team (1999).
Prior to the Dillard's scandal, he was arrested and charged for battery and taking bribes from professional sports agents (1998).
Many football pundits believe he had the potential to be a first round pick if he would have avoided legal problems.

He publicly spoke about the abuse he received from his stepfather during his teens.
He was considered to have exceptional speed and catching hands by scouts and pundits alike.
He refers to his high school alma mater when introducing himself on Monday Night Football.
He admitted to leaving the Jets the first time for the money.
