    (June 3, 1939- )
Recorded the song ‘Once Bitten, Twice Shy' and ‘Cleveland Rocks'
Lead singer of Mott the Hoople (1969-1974)
With Mott the Hoople, recorded the songs ‘All the Young Dudes' and ‘All the Way From Memphis'
Great White's remake of ‘Once Bitten, Twice Shy' and The Presidents of the United States of America's version of ‘Cleveland Rocks' are more famous than Hunter's original versions.
A remake of the song he wrote ‘Cleveland Rocks' went on to become the theme song for ‘The Drew Carey Show.'
He turned down the chance to first record David Bowie's ‘Suffrage City.'
‘Once Bitten, Twice Shy' has extremely lame lyrics (I didn't know you had a rock-n-roll record until I saw your picture on another guy's jacket?).
