He has a gap between his front teeth.
He was a journeyman player during his playing career.
He wasn't considered for the A's vacant managerial post as a result of his disagreement to GM Billy Beane's sabermetric approach.
He allegedly caused rifts with his players in the Rangers clubhouse.
Many baseball pundits believe that his personality conflict with Mark Teixeira was a factor in Teixeira's trade to Atlanta.
He was out of the majors for four seasons prior to signing with the Twins.
