Baseball Player

The Resume

    (May 6, 1990- )
    Born in Maracay, Venezuela
2nd baseman for the Houston Astros
    World Series champion (2017)
American League Most Valuable Player (2017)
AL Gold Glove Award winner (2015)
AL Hank Aaron Award winner (2017)

Why he might be annoying:

He is awfully small for a baseball player.
His small stature led him to be declined a contract offer by the Astros, who initially felt he was lying about his age.
He is extremely religious and often speaks about his faith in interviews.
He didn't receive a lot of exposure during the first couple seasons of his career, as a result of playing on poor Astros teams.

Why he might not be annoying:

He was the shortest player, since Freddie Patek to play in a Major League Baseball game.
He was allowed to try out for the Astros, after he produced his birth certificate (proving he didn't lie about his age).
He tied an Astro rookie record for consecutive games with a hit to start a career.
He is the first player in Major League Baseball history to represent the same franchise at the All-Star Game for both leagues.
He was considered one of the cornerstones in the Astros rebuilding process.
He was an integral part of the first Astros team to win the World Series (2017).
