Why he might be annoying:

He conducted terrorist attacks against Russia in order to turn the North Caucasus into an Islamic state.
He used his popularity among the local Dagestani youth to lure many of them into the ranks of Shariat Jamaat.
He claimed to avoid targeting civilians, but he allegedly perpetrated the bombing of a parade at Kaspiysk that killed 19 soldiers and 15 civilians, including 12 children. (May 9, 2002)

His ancestors were forcibly relocated from the mountains to land previously inhabited by the Chechens prior to their deportation. (1944)
