Clarence Thomas denied every one of her allegations.
Clarence Thomas had never shown a pattern of sexual harassment.
Senator Arlen Spector (R-Penn) said she had perjured herself.
She did not make Clarence Thomas' sexual harassment known until ten years after it happen. Strange, considering she is a lawyer that is involved in that part of the law.
Despite her testimony, Clarence Thomas, was confirmed to the Supreme Court by a 52-48 vote.
Because of her testimony, she has receive a number of awards and paid speaking fees.
    She has bad skin.
She is an icon for women and sexual harassment suits.
During a routine FBI background check on Clarence Thomas' nomination to the supreme court, she was contacted. She admitted that he had sexually harassed her. Despite reluctancy to be in the public eye, an FBI leak made the story public.
She has not changed her story or recanted her testimony of 1991.
Despite the best efforts of the senate, they could not come up with a single credible reason for her to lie.
She passed a polygraph test proving she was not lying. Clarence Thomas did not volunteer to take a lie detector test.
She pointed out Clarence Thomas' weirdness. He once asked her, 'who put a pubic hair on my coke?' He also described himself as having large genitals, comparing them to porn star Long Dong Silver.'
Clarence Thomas played the race card, calling it a 'high tech lynching' and 'sexual prowess of the black men.'
It was charged that she wanted to keep a rare African American conservative off the supreme court, yet she was a registered Republican and previously supported Bork's (an ultra conservative) nomination to the court.
In a neat way to avoid addressing her accusations, Clarence Thomas told the senate 'I will not provide the rope for my own lynching or for further humiliation. I am not going to engage in discussions, nor will i submit to roving questions of what goes on in the most intimate parts of my private life or the sanctity of my bedroom. These are the most intimate parts of my privacy and they will remain just that: private.'
Clarence Thomas said under oath, he did NOT watch her testimony about him (kinda strange).
    She had twelve older siblings.
She earned her law degree from Yale University.
She said: 'I resent the idea that people would blame the messenger for the message, rather than looking at the content of the message itself.'
She said: 'It would have been more comfortable to remain silent.'
