    Many of his books promote a utilitarian philosophy.
    The heroes in most of his books are either military dicators or something similar who succeed by ignoring civil rights and/or the rule of law.
    His greatest success has come from his collaborations with Larry Niven.
    He was a campaign manager for Barry Goldwater.
    None of his works have ever been filmed.
    Footfall was a rare science fiction book that reached #1 on the NY Times best seller list.
    He hates bureacracies and once wrote 'People devoted to the benefit of the bureacracy always get in control.'
    He served bravely in the U.S. Army during the Korean War.
    He has an incredible education including a Masters degree in Experimental Statistics and another in Systems Engineering. He also has a PhD. in Psychology and another in Political Science.
