Why he might be annoying:

He shares a name with country singer, Kenny Rogers.
The Yankees signed him to a four year contract, but traded him after two years.
They so desperately wanted to get rid of him, they took a player to be named later from the A's (it turned out to be Scott Brosius).
He walked a guy with the bases loaded in the bottom of the 11th to eliminate the Mets in the NLCS (October 19, 1999).
He frustrated fans by taking an extremely long time between pitches when a runner got on base.
He could not take the pressure of pitching in New York City.
He attacked two cameramen during his pregame stretch (June 29, 2005).

Why he might not be annoying:

He was the first left handed American League pitcher to pitch a perfect game (July 28, 1994).
As a Met, he broke the team's string of 139 straight games without a complete game, which was one shy of the record (August 15, 1999)
He won 19 consecutive home games as a Texas Ranger (June 28, 1997-April 2, 2000).
During the 1996 Yankee World Series victory parade, he climbed to the top of the float and rode on top of the arch (see picture).
