    His only starring TV role, as one of the Air Force investigators in 'Project UFO,' lasted only one season (1978-79).
    He reprised the role of Flagg in an episode of the spin-off AfterMASH.

    He was a member of the Oregon Shakespeare Company.
    He was twice nominated for a Tony as Best Featured Actor in a Musical for 'Cabaret' (1967) and 'Promises, Promises' (1969).
    'M*A*S*H' scriptwriter Ken Levine said he was 'hysterical' and that Flagg 'was the most fun character to write on the show.'
