Actress
    (July 19, 1948- )
    Born in Oak Park, Illinois
Acted in 'The Couch Trip,' 'Vice Versa,' 'The Brady Bunch Movie,' 'Project: ALF,' 'Walking to the Waterline,' and 'Going Home'
Best known as Iola Boylan on Mama's Family
Also played Sgt. Alva Bricker on 'Major Dad' (1990-1993)
Also had regular roles on 'The Nancy Walker Show,' 'We've Got Each Other,' ALF, 'Spencer,' and 'The Young and the Restless'
    Her catch phrase? Knock kno-ock!
She guest-starred on an episode of Full House.
She was typecast as a poor man's Margaret Hamilton.
She claimed that the Iola Boylan role made her permanently despise pink.
She played a sexually repressed librarian in several episodes of Married with Children (who incidentally lusted after Bud Bundy - yeah, really).
IMDB, Wikipedia, and major fan sites circulated a false report that she had died at the age of 64 (Oct. 2012).
She studied clay sculpting in Italy.
She retired from acting to pursue a career as an artist and sculptor.
She owned and ran an antique shop in Catskill, New York, for eight years.
She released a classy video on YouTube thanking fans for their 'condolences' while also confirming that she was, obviously, alive and well.
She modeled Iola's 'southern Missouri accent' on Vicki Lawrence's normal speaking voice.
She was close with, and had excellent chemistry with, her Mama's Family co-stars (and ironically had the most success on television after the show ended).
She wrote and directed the April Fools/Lemon-Sponge-Cake episode of Mama's Family (widely believed to be one of the funniest episodes).
She said 'once you get into comedy, that is where you stay, which was fine with me. I loved doing comedy, and there is no greater gift than coming to work laughing everyday.'
